Hi there, I am Chloe
A project manager. A parent. An expat based in Paris, France.
A couple of years back I relocated here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to France wasn't part of our long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complicated than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was cultural adjustment, uncertainty, and plenty of learning on the job. Yet, gradually routines started to take shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Created Vale Sprout Stone
Much of the information online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in France.
What this site does (and does not)
This site is:
- Hands-on insight from life in France
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when there is a meaningful change
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in France goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue documenting what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Warm regards,
Chloe
